QUICK FIX DECOR : THIS PAINTED BASKET

I browse through lot of home tours most of the days. And I have noticed things that draw my attention in most of the spaces are the little personal touches people add to their homes. And I love to do the same in my home. Even with the store brought mundane things, I like to tweak them a bit to add my stamp on it. Sometimes these tweaks take effort and time and sometimes it is quick and trivial changes. Today's quick fix is one such quickie.

I bought this basket from HomeGoods a while ago. It is great as such. There is nothing wrong and it has this pretty battered feel and texture. But what fun is it, if I can't play around a bit with it? Right! So I painted, made a tassel to go with it - just for fun and the feel.

As I said I loved the texture and feel as such, so I didn't want to lost that all together. But I also love color - so added a teeny bit of it with craft paint. Then drew a "G" for our surname.  Then added a tassel. That's all.

    1. Thank you so much Reshma. Oh, I love personal touches on almost everything . And about tassels - now I notice they are kind of "in-hing" now I guess.
