This time I am sharing a name banner we created with wood plaques we found at Michaels for cheap. You really don't need wood, packaging box material, even thick scrap book paper would do the trick. Akshara is in love with all fruity colors - pinks, yellows, oranges. So those are the colors we chose.
If it was up to me I would have chosen geometric sophisticated pattern - but order and minimal is not what a typical 4 year old would have in mind right!. So the pattern courtesy goes to her.
Supplies :
The first step is to chose the colors and patterns and let them paint the banner as they like. I used the same craft paint in white to write the letters - just free hand - nothing fancy.
Once dry, thread a twine and you are done.
Simple and fun right! How are you doing this summer? Have more ideas to have fun and engage the kids at the same time?
Such a cute and simple craft! Thank you for sharing with us at Merry Monday!
